The Language Arts curriculum begins with strong listening and verbal skills. Another cornerstone of the AS4A philosophy is self-expression. We believe everyone expresses themselves differently. Solid communication encompasses many components: reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, handwriting, speaking, and listening. The main objective for the L.A. program is to instill a love of reading and writing.
Grades K-2 are engaged in daily writing activities providing practice in vocabulary usage, spelling, and all elements of grammar. Speaking, reading, and writing have equal focus in our language curriculum.
