Dance Audition

WHO: Children from kindergarten to 2nd grade with DANCING skills. Dance auditions evaluation

WHAT:  Students are expected to demonstrate dance techniques and capabilities through guided exercises.

1- Imagination 

Kindergarten: Demonstrate various plants movement.

1st grade: Short dance composition. Create own dance

2nd grade:  Short dance composition. Create own dance

2- Skills 

Kindergarten: Demonstrate point & flex, skipping & flexibility.

1st grade: 3 ballet positions of the legs/feet and arms, skipping & flexibility.

2nd grade: 3 ballet positions of the legs/feet and arms, skipping & flexibility.

3- Body Control

 1st and 2nd grade: Close passé, open passé,

4- Listening

Kindergarten: Walking, marching, skipping, and running to different beats & tempos.

1st grade and 2nd grade: Walking, marching, skipping, and running to different beats & tempos.

Academic School 4 Arts  dance curriculum includes a comprehensive program of dance classes and education. Students study dance as an art discipline and performing art, develop technical skills, learn cultural and historical aspects of dance, dance notation and literature and become involved in the creative process of dance composition (choreography). Older or advanced students are offered opportunities to perform throughout the school year, depending on their age, knowledge and experience. Dance techniques are taught carefully, correctly and safely based on the age and progress of each individual.
