Kindergarten
Classes introduce the youngest students to drama and creative expression through movement, verbalization, and role-playing. Children experiment with the creative process and the basic skills of drama.
First Grade
Students explore how theatre is the art of telling stories through live acting. They learn to work together, build trust, and involved every member in a performance. Exploring how pantomime and behavior help tell a story. Learn to create compelling characters onstage. Principles of improvisation.
Second Grade
Acting is the art of representing a character on stage. These acting classes introduce students to this art. It explores the origins of theatre; learn theatre terminology and etiquette, as well as character development to perform monologues and skits throughout the semester.
Improvisation is the art of creating an outcome offhand. Classes teach students to perform using basic guidelines without a script. In the Improvisation acting classes, they will learn to create a storyboard solo and as a group that will captivate an audience from beginning to end. Improvisation will stretch the imagination of each student to allow them to grow as young adults and performers.
